At M18, Michael serves as the agency’s chief strategist, overseeing a diverse group of industry-leading projects and companies, while serving as an advisor to their founders and CEOs. Prior to forming M18, Michael managed the Hospitality & Real Estate division of a notable PR firm in New York, where he directed the public relations efforts for Andre Balazs Properties, including the launch of The Standard, New York, among other high-profile projects.

Meghan McGinnis brings a diversified communications background to M18, including experience in the fields of marketing, publishing, luxury goods, hospitality and special events. At M18, Meghan manages the daily operations of the company, spearheading various development initiatives while ensuring that strategic objectives and performance measures are met. She is also responsible for the oversight of various clients in the hospitality and design sectors, and leads the successful conceptualization and execution of public relations campaigns with M18’s experienced team of publicists.

Joey Arak brings his years of journalism and new media experience to M18 in the role of Vice President, where his specialties include overseeing online press outreach and developing digital media strategies for clients. Prior to joining M18, Joey was the Editor of Curbed NY, the pioneering New York City real estate blog, where he wrote extensively about real estate development and market trends in New York and helped expand the Curbed Network of blogs to additional major metropolitan areas across the United States. He has been quoted as an expert on real estate in the New York Times, New York Post, New York magazine and the New York Observer.

Philip Ramirez has led numerous successful national marketing and public relations campaigns, bringing invaluable experience to M18 as Managing Director. He has worked closely with Fortune 500 corporations, world-renowned cultural institutions, and major consumer, design, technology and real estate clients, including several of New York’s leading affordable homebuilders. In addition, he has also overseen sponsorship development, events, social media initiatives and crisis management. Philip also spent time as a journalist at several magazines in his native Los Angeles.
